Supporting families to remain together 

Our Family residential assessment centre is located in Oldham, Greater Manchester and can accomodate up to two families.

We are passionate about delivering a high-quality service that produces evidence-based assessments, by fostering supportive relationships with our parents and children.

Our provision is ‘service user’ friendly and free from jargon. We aim to support our residents to not feel overwhelmed by the challenges they face as parents, as we provide a culture, compassion and care at Phoenix House. We believe in the importance of residents having access to resources that will best enhance their parenting capacity during their time at Phoenix House. We aim to provide families with the right environment that safeguards the children, alongside giving the family the best opportunity to thrive.

❖ Our practice is underpinned by attachment theory, mentalization principles and techniques and building meaningful relationships to support our parents to learn about their child in a safe environment. We incorporate parenting techniques, based on regulation and attachment principles to best support the families and their own individual needs.

We offer a 14 week assessment placement, our assessment model used is the Parent Assess Parenting Capacity assessment.
